XS650 Carburetors from ebay

I bought a set of carbs on ebay. The left side one was filthy. I cleaned them both and got all of the jets and passages clear. The plunger on the left one doesn’t fall as nicely as it should. The main jet might need cleaned better.

My XS650 Bobber – total cost $500 bucks! – ECONO BUILD!

This is my winter project finally coming together. I say “winter project” but I didn’t actually get started until maybe late Feb. 6 weeks and few cases of beer and she’s just about done. So How did I do it for 500 bucks? I bought 2 bikes. One was a 73 frame w/ motor and title (what you’re looking at) – 0 on ebay. The other a running/busted 81 650 special w/ title (guy was laid off) – 0. I stripped all good parts from the 81 and put on my frame. I sold the left over 81 frame and motor w …
