Nice ride… But seriously dont go the SBC route. Just go with a true poncho motor….

  7. rawnie79 says:

Im not a fan of confederate flags or any of that southern nestalgia stuff, but i really love the originality with the bird, even if im not a big fan i can admit its pretty awsome that someone would have the originality to do something like that with it, i’d like to get a T/A like this and try to get a skeletal bird for the hood, maybe black and silver

And i love how you’re not afraid to drive the car, too many people treat their cars as collectors and never drive them, no way to treat a car

  11. rawnie79 says:

the decal was made like that by the original owners, inspired by a lynyrd skynyrd album.

    gotta drive the car hard!

  12. Ratmouth66 says:

haha right on man, awsome T/A, keep on rockin’

I’ve got a 79 myself, and I would’nt trade it for anything! Just put a new 403 Olds in her,.
Thank you God for the Trans Am!

Dont put a SBC in it!! That will ruin it. put a 400 pontiac in it.

Seems like it struggles a little on the burnout/ 500HP? Doubt it. Ive got a Chevy crate 502/ 502 HP and as docile as it sounds with the roller cam you would have to have a serious thumpin flat tappet to produce 500 in the Pontiac motor and this one just dosent sound or act the part. Kick ass ride though and nice vid, keepum cummin!

  22. rawnie79 says:

well who told you it makes 500hp? or that its a pontiac engine?

the burnouts were not done at full throttle, the reason was to make sure i dont over rev the safe limit of the olds 403 (5000-5500rpm).

dyno test showed 396hp and 505ft/lbs. next summer ill take er out and make more vids.

  23. jdubcbr600 says:

You know what ? I got it wrong, on the page Im looking at, at the bottom of the vid it sez its a vid response to 81 TA 500+ HP. Sorry I guess Im the dumbass here. Just tired of posers with alright cars on here thinking they have 600 horsepower.

  24. rawnie79 says:

haha no problem man, i thought you must have been a little confused with something else too. and i know what you mean about all the tools with HP assumptions, it is kinda frustrating.
