Motorcycle Front End Alignment?
January 25th, 2010 | Articles | 4 Comments »andrew s asked:
On my (81′) xs650 bobber when I straighten the front wheel to line up with the frame, the handle bars are crooked, and like wise if I turn my handle bars to face straight, my wheel/forks are turning a little. Could this be from bent forks? bent risers? wheel not aligned properly? If anyone has some knowledge for this please let me know. I will add pictures to show what I’m describing.

Sounds like your header to fork tube pinch bolts have slipped . You need to tweek the front wheel to fork allignment while also getting forks and bars to allign .
Are you sure your bars aren’t bent ?
If you have bent forks you’d know it.
When you install the axle and front wheel they align. My guess is you have bent bars.
line up your trees unless it is actualy bent sounds like they have slipped on you
sounds like it’s in the triple trees or in the risers if nothing looks bent
