I’m so glad that someone seems to realise just what a Cafe Racer is, and where it originated from, there are alot of Harleys being “converted” into Cafe Racer’s, and they really do look nothing like a real Cafe Racer.

Yeh, it’s getting weird out there. I try not to label my bikes.

Great bike and color! Im working on my 1980 xs400 special II right now. It needs A LOT of work to get going, but its worth it.

Props to your Yami build, most think only a Triumph or a Honda makes a good cafe. Way to prove’m wrong m8. Sounds sweet as well.

I’m posting this for a friend, who wnats to comment but doesn’t have a Youtube account:

How did you get your XS to sound like that?

vorhese April 18, 2008 at 6:19 pm

It’s just straight pipes (removed baffle) and pod filters. Actually this video was taken when the baffles were still in.

ronsfi May 20, 2008 at 3:42 am

Dude ok straight pipes with baffles but what mufflers? Commandos?

Very very sweet. I am looking for a nice exhaust that will slip onto the original header. The header alone is to loud for my style. Way cool
keep the rubber side down.
