These are very great bikes and I wish I could hang on to them all. I cleaned the carbs, swapped-out the tank for the teal and white tank (clean inside and includes a clean petcock), replaced fuel lines, put in a good battery, replaced a condenser and the spark plugs… it fired on the third kick and ran. I fiddled with the carbs a little more and got it to rev, idle and start with one kick as seen in the video. I tried to adjust the clutch cable for a test drive, but could not get it right. So it may need more than just adjustment. The gears …

350s are great, BUT…the timing chain cam roller has a life expectancy of only 25000 miles. If you buy a used 350, assume the engine will need a teardown at 25000 miles! There is NOTHING you can do to extend the roller’s life. FYI, that bike in the video is a 1973 supersport 350 with a replaced tank off a ’70.
@theconquerors its a 73g, but titled as a 72. bikes back then were titled by the year sold, not the year they were built.
my 71 is titled as a 72, the year it was sold.
if this 73 was in the us in late 72, and sold then, then its title says 1972 on it
@moogyboy6 if you maintain them, these are dead reliable bikes.
if you want them to be even more reliable, throw in a new electric ignition and a new set of carbs (originals had some tuning issues) and your set. very little to go wrong on these bikes.
Seriously sweet bike; I’m interested in starting to ride and this is precisely the kind of bike I’d like to have–I’m kinda partial to Honda for some reason. So are these still good, reliable everyday bikes or are they more collector’s items nowadays, re: parts, repair, and such? I’d want something that’s cheap to buy, easy to fix and find parts for, and safe to ride. I have faith in Honda quality, but these things are older than I am, after all. I’d love to have an old CB.
@theconquerors
actually they did have front disc in the front back in 72. my cb450 has the disc fronts and it’s also a 72, and mines all stock.
This can’t be a 1972…72 did not have front disc brakes. Unless you changed them.
Thats a nice little cruiser ya got there.
did the guy buy it ? IM in ventura…let me know..thanks
SOLD! thanks.
do you still have it ill give a grand fer it seriously
Forks with disk brake off a later model no?
Looks like somebody got a deal for a grand.
sweeet bike. Too bad I live in Holland, else I would have bought it
